What we collect
- When you contact us through a website form, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, where you are based, and what you tell us about the property or service you want.
- When you apply for a job: your CV and anything in it, your cover message and contact details.
- When we act for you in a property deal or manage a property: identity documents (passport, Emirates ID, visa), title deeds, tenancy and sale contracts, bank and payment details, and the source-of-funds information the law requires us to check.
- When you use the website: your IP address and basic device information, which our hosting and the services listed under “Cookies” receive when pages load, and, if you accept cookies, how you use the site.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health or religious beliefs through the website. Please do not include it in a message or CV.
How we use it and why we are allowed to
We only use your information for the purposes below. Under UAE law we rely on your consent, on what a contract with you requires, or on what the law requires. UK law adds legitimate interests as a basis where it applies.
| What we use it for | Basis we rely on |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry, arranging viewings and calls | Your request (taking steps towards a contract) and your consent |
| Buying, selling, letting and managing property for you | Our contract with you |
| Identity and source-of-funds checks, and keeping transaction records | Legal obligation (UAE anti-money-laundering law and RERA rules) |
| Considering your job application | Your request to be considered, and your consent |
| Sending property news or offers | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Understanding how the website is used (analytics) | Your consent through the cookie banner |
| Keeping the website secure and working | Legitimate interests (UK) and the necessary operation of the service |
We do not sell your information, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs:
- The other side of your deal and the parties involved: buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, developers and other brokers.
- Government bodies: Dubai Land Department, RERA and other authorities where a transaction or the law requires it, including anti-money-laundering reporting.
- Partners you ask us to involve: banks and mortgage advisers, our Golden Visa partner, lawyers, will-writers and structuring specialists, and contractors for renovation and maintenance work.
- Service providers who run our systems: our website host, our property CRM (Propspace), email, WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us, HubSpot for managing enquiries and contacts, Google (Google Sheets), where website enquiries are logged so the right person in our team can follow up, and Google for website analytics if you accept cookies.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
Transfers between countries. Your information may move between our Dubai and London offices and to service providers in other countries. When it leaves the UK or the UAE we use the safeguards the law requires, such as contract terms approved for international transfers, unless an exception applies (for example, the transfer is needed for a contract you asked for).
How long we keep it
| Record | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to business | 24 months from your last contact |
| Client, transaction and identity records | At least 5 years after the deal or relationship ends, as UAE anti-money-laundering law requires |
| Property management records | For the management agreement plus 5 years |
| Job applications and CVs | 6 months after the role is filled, or 12 months if you agree we can keep you in mind for future roles |
| Marketing contacts | Until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not contact you again |
After these periods we delete or anonymise the information, unless a legal claim or investigation means we must keep it longer.

Security, complaints and changes
Security. We limit access to your information to staff who need it, store CVs outside the public part of the website, and use secure connections (HTTPS) on our site. Website enquiries are also saved in our website’s secure admin area and in a private Google Sheet that only our team can access. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Complaints. Please contact us first at info@livedubai.ae and we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint if you are in the UK, or to the UAE Data Office if you are in the UAE.
Changes. We update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
