Living in Mirdif
A long-established family neighbourhood near the airport, with villas, townhouses and low-rise apartments, Mushrif Park and City Centre Mirdif.

History
Mirdif grew up as a neighbourhood of villas on individual plots, mainly lived in by Emirati families, and began attracting expat families from around 2000. Uptown Mirdif was announced in 2002, one of the first planned communities here.
City Centre Mirdif opened in 2010, the same year Dubai Properties finished the Ghoroob apartments, followed by the Shorooq villas. Mirdif Hills, the first freehold project in the area, handed over its first homes in 2019. About 67,000 people lived in Mirdif at the 2021 count, and a Blue Line Metro station is due to open in 2029.
